Multiplex Cularis

I now have the new Cularis from Multiplex. This seems to be a lovely glider, and the kit has some real nice touches to it. I'll be running an AXI 2826/10 brushless motor and a 12x6 folding prop. I'll be using HS 56 servo's for the ailerons and flaps, and HS 81 servo's for the  Rudder and Elevator.
More info coming soon.

The Multiplex Twister is an Elapor foam model that performs like a real turbine jet. Smooth high speed flying, followed by stunning looks, the Twister can perform most jet-style aerobatics. The kit comes complete with a Himax 2825-3600 brushless motor and EDF fan unit.
Multiplex recommend a 3s 2500-3200mah lipo battery, although I'll be running mine on a 3s 3700mah Flightpower. This model can be built up and ready to fly in just a few hours. I was surprised in how well this plane handles slow flight. Its pretty easy to launch and landings are a breeze. Check out the HD video to see just how well the Twister performs.

This is in exactly the same setup as my other Twister, except I run this one on a 4s 2500mAh lipo. Its run on the stock Himax motor and EDF unit and uses three HS-55 servo's. This one's been painted up using Flairs Spectrum spray paints. These paints seem to hold and cover very well to the Elapor foam.

I used Matt Dark Earth and Matt Olive Drab for the top two colours, and Matt Duck Egg Blue for the underneath. The canopy was painted by brush with silver enamel and the panel lines and rivets were highlighted using a silver ink pen. The AUW of this Twister is 1182g when flown with a 4s 2500mAh lipo, and pulls 44Amps static 650W. I'm not sure how long the Himax motor will last on a 4s, but if used sensibly, it should be ok.
